Small Business Clinic

Participant agreement

Welcome to the Small Business Clinic. We are glad to help you work toward self-reliance through a business of your own. By taking part, you agree to the following.

1. Educational purpose

This program is a voluntary service provided by local mentors to offer education, encouragement, and coaching. The mentors are volunteers, not paid consultants, and the AI tools the clinic uses are for drafting and practice. Nothing here is legal, tax, immigration, insurance, or financial advice. You are responsible for your own business decisions.

2. Your business is yours

Any business you start, run, or work on during this program is 100% owned by you.

3. No liability

The mentors, the Stake, and The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are not responsible for any financial losses your business incurs, any injury to you or others while you are working, or any dispute with your customers.

4. Use of funds

If you are approved for help with tools, equipment, or supplies through Fast Offerings, that help is humanitarian aid to support your self-reliance. It is not a loan, and the Church has no ownership in your business.

5. Your information

What you tell the interviewer and your mentor about your business is kept for the clinic's use only — to help you — and is not shared outside the mentors.

6. Commitment

I will attend on Saturdays at least three of every four weeks, work my plan, and report my progress honestly to my pod.
