You do not need a real website. You need one page where a customer can see who you are and how to reach you.
In Week 3 we build your page in class, with the same AI tool that wrote your plan. It already knows your business, your three services, your prices, and what your first customer said about you. You tell it what to change — "make the headline shorter," "add Brother Okoro's quote" — and it changes it. You leave class with your page online, at an address you can put on your flyer.
You do not need an account, a domain, or money to start. When your business is ready for its own name on the internet, we help you get one and point it at your page.
Google Business Profile. It is free, it puts you on Google Maps, and it is where your reviews go. No website replaces it. Search "Google Business Profile," sign in with a Google account, and follow the steps. Fifteen minutes.
Either is fine. Use the same four sections below.
Your page has four parts, in this order. Do not add more.
A clear photo of you, smiling. People hire people, not logos. Under it, one big line that says exactly what you do and where: "Reliable handyman in Hyde Park, Woodlawn, and South Shore." Then one sentence on why you: "On time, honest, and I clean up when I'm done."
Your three services from your price sheet, as a short list. Be specific. "Deep cleaning, move-out cleaning, weekly cleaning" — not "I do everything."
One or two sentences from people you have worked for, with their first name and neighborhood. "Daniel washed both our cars in the driveway and they look new. On time and polite." — Sister Adams, Hyde Park. Ask your first customers if you can use their words.
If you have no customers yet, use the practice run. That is what it is for.
Tell them exactly what to do: "Text [number] for a free quote."
Texting is better than calling if you are still learning English. It gives you time to read, translate, and answer well.
Build the page on your phone during the work block. Then show it to your pod. Ask them: Would you hire this person? What is missing? What is confusing? Fix it before you leave.
